About DASEY Award:
This award is given to outstanding middle school, high school, and college level students in recognition of their leadership, achievements, and service to the community. The DASEY Awards are not limited to only those activities directly connected to school, but also includes association with Church Group activities, Boy/Girl Scouts, Religious Groups, and non-profits.
Benefits to the Applicants
Every applicant will submit a form including information about the organization/venture they created, project leaders, community reach and value, and other non-profit organizations they are working with. With this they receive:
- An Interactive webpage on the Dasoha.org site that includes information about YOUR community service venture
- Easy Sharing among social networks (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
- LIKE button to help generate awareness of your cause
- Donation Center to facilitate funding of your cause.
- Links to websites containing information about your cause
- Continuity: Allows for this venture to continue for years to come
- Honoree Awards:
- Several $500 and $100 awards will be granted based on Geographic regions, Project Domain (Education, Environment, Health) and popularity (“Likes”).
- Local Honorees will receive a “Certificate of Achievement”
Eligibility:
- Students in grades 5-12 who live in the United States or Undergraduate College students attending an accredited institution in the United States
- Must have actively led the service activity in the past year
